Now or Never!! Well not until the Autumn anyway.
If they are going to survive the shock, trees can only be dug up and replanted when they are dormant. This means the ideal months are from January to end of February, and November until December.
Trees that are in a root ball rather than bare root will have a better chance of survival, however there is more work associated with this as the root ball will generally be larger in volume than just the roots of the tree.
Remember to do your research before choosing your trees. We recently had a project where sycamores had been chosen. When the site was inspected, we soon found out that these were the wrong trees for the size of plot. Please consult us first before making your choice!
